I get to travel to some pretty remote areas of BC for work. This is a little place called Gorge Harbour on Cortes Island. The entire time I was there it was either raining or there were these dark threating clouds.

Every once in awhile we get days where the fog comes in and just hangs around all day. When you get up to some of the higher elevations it starts loking a little creepy, like something out of a horor movie.

So once again, Ammonite Falls. This time however was the first time I've shot this waterfall with the 5D mk2.

I love these falls for various reasons. First, is the fact that this waterfall was the first waterfall I photographed, it's what kind of got me interested in photography. Second, this is a great hike for dog, my little guy can be off leash the entire time.

Maybe one day I'll find a subject I'm more drawn to than this waterfall; but Until then I'm happy to enjoy the beauty of Ammonite Falls.

When I was on the island of St. Croix a few years back we saw spectaular sunsets every night. Our place on the beach was perfect for viewing the storms, the clouds and the stars.
