After visiting a volunteer's counterpart near the rice fields. Before the rainy season comes, locals grow a variety of veggies in the fertile soil. Currently (and to the right in the picture), they are growing mainly onions.

Besides being a nitrogen fixer and provider of scattered shade, Moringa leaves are nutritionally dense. During All-Vol, where volunteers from all over West-Aftrica gather for informative sessions, our country director made us eggs, morings, and beans mixed together and added to bread. Delicious.
