The link to the other photo is broken, and the one to Highly Competitive too. You need to remove the end parts, i think.
And I do prefer the other photo - this one is just too oversaturated.

Lovely shot, brilliant blue sky, excellent reflections. The salt is piled up in mounds like this to let it dry, the water drains out and forms the pools of water in which we see the reflections. But (excuse my pedantry) I think this photo was taken on the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, rather than Cusco. (tags: salt +uyuni & cusco) It's an amazing place, and this photo does it justice.

really a great shot! but trust me, that is definitely not around cuzco in peru instead i think this is the salar de uyuni in bolivia or another saltsea in bolivia or atacama desert in chile. i´ve seen both places in reality.
