Walking up the ramps in the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, my wife held out her hand. This beautiful butterfly landed on her hand and just sat there. I have a number of other pictures of it sitting with wings closed.
My wife wanted it to move on, and blew on it. The butterfly opened its wings, and continued to sit there, beautifully posing for me.
Sheer delight.
