Winters of Old

For winter lovers, this has been a great season, with lots of snow and ice, and temperatures well below freezing for many weeks. A winter unlike most the recent years, but quite normal a few decades ago. I won't go into a monologue about the climate changes here, but just say that I am happy we still get this kind of winters, and hope we will do in the future too. Incidentally, we had -28C (-25F) this morning.
Here is a scene from the "old town" district of Linköping,
back when the first snows came. We're basically out of places to put
the snow now, and just plow it around...

The snow looks that fresh so I didn't believe this is a fresh shot, so was it after reading your foreword. :) The lamppost on the right greatly adds to the composition!
We too had -29 a few days ago. And I totally agree with you on all points you made here. This winter resembles typical winters of my childhood.

Hpe your reindeer are very well equipped with brandy and biscuits. What are you doing out at such temperatures (silly question). Yes it has been a visual feast from your camera of winter this year in particular and I really love every image you post of it. Love your description of simply moving it around.
