O grande diferencial da fotografia para outras artes plásticas é o instante. A possibilidade de congelar um momento tal qual ele é foi a grande quebra da fotografia frente à pintura. E estamos cercados desses instantes que, às vezes, nos fazem pensar "ah, se meus olhos fotografassem", como se a nossa memória tivesse o mesmo grave defeito de uma tela impressionista. A fotografia me ensinou a ver o mundo; a capturar os instantes únicos, mesmo que sem equipamento nenhum em mãos.

The big differential on the photography from the other plastic arts is the instant. The possibility of freezing a moment as it actually is was the big break of the photography from the painting. And we are surrounded by these instants that, sometimes, make we think "oh, if my eyes took pictures", as if our memory had the same serious defect of an impressionist painting. The photography taught me to catch the unique instants, even without any equipment in hands.

Mais uma das fotos em Mosqueiro... Gosto bastante dessa, mas não me perguntem exatamente o porquê. Eu não sei. Ainda tem mais uma dos pescadores. Todas em preto e branco. Como bem ensinou a minha avó: às vezes é melhor não deixar a cor roubar a cena. :)

One more picture at Mosqueiro... I like that one very much, but don't ask me exactly why do I. I don't know. There's ane more of the fishers. All at W&B. As taught me my grandma, sometimes it's better not to let the color steal the scene. :)

Como prometido, voltei pra contar um pouco mais das fotos de Mosqueiro. Uma das coisas que eu tinha esquecido com as várias fotografias de evento que tenho feito é o quanto me faz bem fazer essa fotografia despretenciosa. Ela me permite, mais do que a captura da imagem, a aproximação com os fotografados. Isso me rende boas histórias ouvidas e o mais importante: saber o quão fantástica pode ser cada pessoa.
Essa eu fiz num dos barcos que tinham acabado de atracar na praia, trazendo os resultados da pescaria feita na madrugada. Cada pescador me contou um pouquinho de como é a vida deles, e eu também contei um pouco da minha. Uma troca apaixonante que só é me permitida pela fotografia.

As promised, I'm back with a little more 'bout the pictures at Mosqueiro. One of the things I'd forgotten with the many events pictures I've been taking is that how well the unpretentious photography makes me. It allows, more than the image capture, the approximation with the photographed. It gives me great heard stories and the most important: knowing how fantastic can be each single person.
That one I took on one of the boats that had just moored on the beach, bringing the results of the fishing made at the dawn. Each fisherman told me a little about how are their lives, and I also told them a little about mine. A change that is only allowed me throughout the photography.

Não, eu não abandonei meu Flickr. Só tenho levado longos períodos pra conseguir fazer algumas fotos para postar por aqui. E a oportunidade veio de uma disciplina que fiz na Universidade com o professor Marcos Steagall, chamada Estética e Técnica da Fotografia, que cursei com o pessoal do curso de Cinema.
Durante os estudos fomos a Mosqueiro, distrito de Belém, para uma saída fotográfica. Muitos resultados legais saíram desse dia, mas o melhor pra mim foi ter redescoberto o prazer de fotografar de maneira despretenciosa.
Logo mais eu posto mais algumas imagens por aqui e conto mais da experiência de voltar a Mosqueiro para fotografar.

No, I didn't go away from my Flickr. I'm just taking very long periods to post something by here. And the opportunity came from a course I did at the University with the professor Marcos Steagall, called Aesthetic and Technique of Photography, it did with the people of the Cinema graduation.
During the studies we went to Mosqueiro, Belém's district, to a photo stroll. I'd got some many cool results by the walk, but the coolest thing was to rediscover the pleasure on photographing without much commitment.
As soon as possible I'll post some more images by here and I'll tell a little more about the experience of returning to Mosqueiro to take pics.
