Mom thinks every cookie I make is beautiful so I can always experiment when I am making cookies for her. Since I traditionally try to have a smooth, flat surface on my cookies, I tried to to use thicker frosting this time and add some dimension to my cookies. I also tried a new fondant mat that was very easy to use. The brush embroidery will require practice. Why is it that the first time I did it last summer it seemed easy and I've never been happy since? I wanted to do a bird cage but didn't have a cutter, so I used a Halloween tombstone cutter and a bell which was suggested by my good friend, Donna. The thread and pin cushion were inspired by the Bearfoot Baker. I rushed to finish this set and you can probably tell that I didn't have the right consistency of icing for the piping. Ooops, the doily is even backwards in the photo!
