   Goodness, this is so very excellent. I've no idea how you achieved that black background, but it is a triumph. Like the camel is returning from a dark abyss that we may know nothing about...

   thanks dan65, what a wonderful compliment. it actually wasn't that hard to create the black background - the camel had a pretty dark background behind him to begin with, so i just did a bit of burning and dodging, then a little vignette/blur around the edges.
