My favourite!
I love this shot: the angle is perfect and the light too.
And I'd like to have a desk like that!

I'm afraid I have no idea who she is but it's a wonderful portrait. Beautifully lit and composed.

You might actually... she's quite a well known children's book author and illustrator in the UK as well as a very talented painter. She's got a major solo show coming up in June in London - I'll give you more details when I know them. Check out her books that she's done with Mick Manning at www.mickandbrita.com - "Tail-End Charlie" and "What Mr. Darwin Saw" are two recent highly praised books - they are beautiful and educational!
Thanks so much everybody!

I couldn't put it better myself. And knowing her as I do, it's a perfect portrait.

LOVE artist! Must be from my upbringing and seeing my Mom spend endless hours behind a canvas.

This is so me. Except that she looks *way* more put-together than I ever do in the mornings.
(And I totally envy her workspace.)
