To celebrate the occasion of Lord Baden Powell's birthday (22 February 1857), 1st Greely All Section light old Christmas trees and wooden palets... The Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers all had a great time with skits, songs and cheers.

Although subject to erosion during heavy rains, these Maasai people's huts are quite sturdy, and provide good shelter from the elements. I was able to briefly go inside, and found that in the heat of the afternoon sun, it was quite cool and welcoming...

All Eyes on Me

All Eyes on Me

These are the skittish ones of the African plains. Wildebeest is Dutch for "wild beast" or "wild cattle" in Afrikaans (beest = cattle). In East Africa, the wildebeest is the most abundant big game species, both in population and biomass.

If I was to move to quickly, they all would scatter and gallop away.
