At the Feet of an Ancient Master
At The Feet Of An Ancient Master by Roshnii
I sit on your roots that reach down into the mysteries of the earth.
I know you are listening to my shapes - that throb with colour and
emotion.
We share the ancient, ageless life energy.
We are sculpted from one clay.

One of the most beautiful sights in Bangalore - an old Bombacaceae
tree in the Lalbagh botanical gardens.
So calm, so vibrant. He was a total pleasure to be around.
Bangalore, Karnataka, south India.

He's like an old man smiling not minding the children who play on its limbs or draw on its skin. Vibrant indeed...

Thank you all for your fine comments.
@Chhattisgarh... She actually is meditating, not posing. Roshnii and I were walking through the botanical gardens when we saw this tree and decided to stop for meditation. I thought the chance of a photo was too good to miss...

What a perfect niche to meditate. Is it any wonder that the Buddha found enlightenment under a tree?

What a shame that such a great, old tree is almost completely defaced by graffiti.

I've heard in some place that ancients tree roots can go really deep into the earth - several miles down.
I've never been blessed to see one up close.
What a wonderful sight!
Excellent photo.
