A silhouette, light falling onto the page, and bright light in the background, all on the diagonal. Nice composition.

> 1217micrograms / kidisland / ojeada / hélè: thanks friends for visiting!

> Ilse: your comments are always welcome friend!!!

> Baby Rose: thanks you very much...you know...i've said this before but i really admire your work!

> Stephan: your deconstructing of my shots are always exquisite...thanks!!! i really have doubts about cropping...but i think the (almost) square format improves it....

> Chris: i really appreciate your comment...means a lot to me!!!

> Anne-Marie: yes i believe that too...reading = imagination...is a pleasure for me to share this...thank you very much

> Lucie: muchas gracias!!!

we could talk about the set of thirds that you have here, but it would be too much. Why did you have doubts about cropping?

Did you leave out some peripheral details? Was this shot not focused enough? Too much to say in one sitting? Try two photos.

there were more shadows...i mean in the original the man was complete but i believe it was too much black....i try to compensate black & whites cropping the black...

racingsquirrel  Pro User  says:

you mean in this he is too black? hmmm, try dodging the image in Photoshop or apply a screen to just him. You could use curves too, and just bring the level up a little.

Actually the quote was just sit down, see it here and search under Hutchins. The same school tore down a 70,000 seat stadium to build a 4,5 million volume library.
When I was there, out of 300 American Party Schools, we were ranked #298, behind all 3 military academies and 2 christian fundamentalists schools, plus the Mormon School Brigham Young. We only beat out Rochester Institute of Technology (300+ days of grey) and an all girls school. Go figure....
