... we get to think of life as an
inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens
only a certain number of times, and a very
small number, really. How many more times
will you remember a certain afternoon of your
childhood, some afternoon that's so deeply a
part of your being that you can't even
conceive of your life without it? Perhaps
four or five times more. perhaps not even
that. How many more times will you watch the
full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it
all seems limitless. --Paul Bowels in the film "the
Sheltering Sky"
(this quote has also inspired me to make
"memory of a cold Sunday
afternoon")
This is a very old looking photo, as the tags
say. Nice use of sepia and gold tones. It is
an older building as well. I like the figure
and his painful pose. Cool.
This one has a very direct emotional impact,
I think. He seems to be reflecting the weight
of the stones behind him...holding the
building. The tone is at once warm and
nostalgic...
One of my favorites of yours, daniel. Such a
subtle sensitivity you have!!
