In addition to being a cool and interesting
shot, this could be a useful part of a
psychological profile. "People who see
this as going up are aspirational,
optimisitc, and in touch with their spirits.
People who see this as going down are
practical, bold, and ready to take on a
challenge."

From the angle and knowledge of how
uncomfortable kneeling on a lift is, I'll
plump for crouching at the bottom, about to
get on.

Thanks generally for all the kind words. I
took this nearly a year ago and can't think
why I didn't post it at the time.
@_vanitY_: I'm really glad you like the
photo but I really wish you didn't think
leaving one of those ugly awards was a good way of expressing it. I think
flickr has got a lot uglier since these
things started popping up all over the place
- both aesthetically and in attitude.
Besides any group that has those kind of
rules ("Three (3) A+++ logo on your photo
means = Your picture is super awesome") has got to be taking the piss right? I mean,"super awesome"?

I think you are LOOKING up, but that doesn't
necessarily mean you are GOING up. But I
think it was perhaps a sort of
"rhetorical" question. One that is
perhaps going to be one of those great
unanswered mysteries for the rest of us.
I just hope it doesn't keep me awake at
nights. ;o)

Pretty sure that you were going up, judging
by the way the handrail goes at the end of
the escalator. It would be 90 degrees
different if you were looking down.
Fantastic shot though, and I also agree
with how those so called "awards"
spoil a photo's comments.
