UP LPA54 Cudahy Job, Milwaukee, WI

UP LPA54 Cudahy Job, Milwaukee, WI

Union Pacific local LPA54, the Cudahy Job, is shoving towards Jones Island on the National Avenue Industrial Lead with mining shovel components picked up from Bucyrus International in South Milwaukee, WI. Jones Island is the location of the Port of Milwaukee, where the shovel components will be loaded on a ship for delivery to a foreign customer. This is an unusual move for the Cudahy Job as the National Avenue Spur is normally only switched by UP's Marsh Job. The locomotive on today's train is a GP38-2 leased from GATX. It was built as Rock Island (CRIP) 4309.
