I don't know what it is, but I seem to be attracting strays lately.
We brought this guy in out of the snow and he's staying here until we can get him into a no-kill shelter or find him a good home. We're keeping him quarantined from our dogs for now just in case he has something, but I think he just needs some grooming and will be as good as new. The plan for now is to take him to the vet and groomer tomorrow if we can't get him into a no-kill shelter.
He didn't have tags, looks like he has spent at least a month or two living outside on his own, and is scared of a lot of things. Seems pretty puppy like.. don't think he's much over one. Very friendly and loves the attention he's getting so far. We have checked the neighborhood for signs, craigslist, etc, and no one seems to be missing a dog like him. Knows several commands, and is already house broken. Was not microchipped.
He's a mutt, but seems to be primarily English Shepard. Very friendly and loving dog. He ran up to one of our dogs while outside to sniff her and seemed very friendly with other dogs. We've been spending time with him and he's very happy to just get some human attention.
Anyone looking for a dog? This guy probably needs a yard and some attention.. he seems very smart and probably needs a "job" to stay happy given his working dog characteristics.
