Carlos would readily confirm, although they are his heritage and he has done restoration work on them, main credit for those works properly belong to his great uncle, Dionicio Rodriguez and his father, Maximo Cortes, who worked uncredited alongside Rodriguez in many instances.

 

Sunken Gardens Complex (notably the large stone pagoda) for which the credit is due to City Parks Commissioner Ray Lambert, who first conceived of the idea of a lily pond garden in the old abandoned quarry and then secured workers and funding to accomplish the project.
