Kingsley Kingfisher

Meet Kingsley the Kingfisher. The third installment of my British Birds series.
About this creation
Kingfishers are probably my favourite looking bird. I could watch these beautiful creatures all day.

The wings are not quite as accurate as I would like them to be due to the lack of the right pieces but I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.

I built a little slice of river and a twiggy perch for Kingsley so he looked more at home.

My favourite birds :) the pesky things are really hard to spot though because they move so fast!

Beautiful moc of a beautiful bird! Being a keen fisherman, I often see these rushing through above the lakes and rivers with the sun glinting of their back illuminating their stunning blue color! Great series!

Thank you! I've only seen a Kingfisher on one occasion and that was just a blue flash flying past me. I have a nature reserve nearby where there are Kingfishers and plan to spend a day there with my camera at the ready as I've always wanted to get a nice photo of one. Thanks for your comment, much appreciated!
