It was a full-scale 'war' between the mighty Barisan Nasional and Democratic Action Party -- both sides brought their national leaders down to campaign.

In the end, the seat remained in BN's hands.

Iconic politician Lim Kit Siang of Democratic Action Party, the leading Opposition party, at Jeff Ooi's Tea Party.

Ooi, a prominent blogger, jumped ship from Gerakan, which is part of the ruling coalition - Barisan Nasional, after being offered a chance to contest for a parliamentary seat under the DAP ticket in the next general election, widely speculated to be held as early as November this year.
