I am using this title in order to tell the story of my close friends, Romit and Deepasha, the lovers of Allahabad. This story could have been a tragic love story, a kind of Indian Romeo and Juliet but here there is a happy ending. Romit and Deepasha met at school in their young age, they fell in love and wanted to stay together for ever. Their family houses were on each side of the railroad and they could see the light of each other's room from one terrace to the other. Romit is Hindu and Deepasha is Christian, this is the "dramatic element" of the story. During many years they had to go through an emotional melodrama as there weren't many people the couple could have turned to find approval for their relationship, least to their own family. Like in Shakespeare's play, the moral dilemma facing the two lovers was loyalty to family or loyalty to love. In India many inter-religion couples have to face this struggle. However their love was stronger than anything and after a very long time they managed to settle their marriage with the blessings of all their families. Wedding ceremonies started two days ago but the main celebration will be this evening. Unfortunately I can't come tonight and I know that my friends will be disappointed but this image is a way to show them my support and my true friendship. I used a picture that I took last August while I was having dinner with them in Allahabad, I changed a few things in order to give a vintage look and of course the Taj Mahal is there in order to underline this everlasting love. "Dear Deepasha and Romit, the best is here to come, you have been awaking out a dream into reality and I am very proud of you and of course I am sharing your happiness. Those public words are a kind of apology for not being able to be with you today but I'll come to see you in two weeks for sure". Comments◙..johanna *** moving
