Another great shot from this Lake Julian outing.

This is the cleanest coal plant in the state and the cleanest operated by Progress Energy. The scrubber releases a lot of water vapor which you see as steam coming from the stacks.

"nitrogen oxide emissions are reduced by 93 percent, compared to 1996 levels, and sulfur dioxide emissions reduced by 93 percent, compared to 2001 levels."
