Need to do a head-shot for the book I collaborated on. It's a type of photography I've never really done, and I really don't have the gear to do it right... so I spent the morning fooling around improvising with lighting.
Since I was just experimenting with lighting, I didn't get carried away with the subject: hence unshaven, hair uncombed, and in my pajamas.
My ghetto light setup is a CLS controlled SB600 hanging from and bouncing off the ceiling, a little help from the D300's onboard flash, and a desk lamp illuminating the wall behind me. Camera is sitting on my ironing board, shutter controlled by an RF trigger.
