Fiddler crab

Lots of these little balls of sand lying around - possibly thrown up by the crabs while digging their burrows?
Fiddler crab by denn.
I noticed something moving on the ground and went to investigate - and there were simply dozens of fiddler crabs by the water's edge, all waving their bright yellow claws!

This is a left-clawed crab, by the way - most of the others are right-clawed. :D

They are tiny little creatures, only a couple of centimetres across.
