miles of solitude

Found this sunny day "southwest road trip" image in my archives from 09. This was taken on my road trip right before I got hit by a car. Well, maybe "honked at" is more like it. Again, not a masterpiece or anything but just symbolizing my love of travel. Thanks for your visit, comments and jokes :) Will visit your streams today. Hope you guys have more Christmas shopping done than i do. Happy Friday to all!

Both are amazing! Excellent depth and perspective (That southwest shot looks like you were lying on the pavement). If I had to I would choose the northwest scene as my fav. Gotta love those rolling hills.

One of the most impressive things when driving in the USA is the endless roads that kind of driving is fascinating experience and you capture that spirit beautifully.

I have been here before and ironically enough, stopped on the side of the road right up there to take a break. I stepped out of the car and felt like an ant standing there amongst all that.

    Love the POV here!

The southwest image has an interesting perspective. You use the same basic idea in the other picture, but I think I prefer the southwest version. It might be just the symmetry, but it is also somehow that the southwest picture contains two separate impressions of long distance. The road itself seems long and unwinding - but then you suddenly look beyond it and see the mountains against the sky. What just seemed like far away is suddenly down to earth.

A vivid picture, I like it.
