...regardless if the comments were/are positive or negative i appreciate every one taking time out of their busy schedules to view my pics...

Sweet! Need to cover the wheel wells though with some plating to protect the tires from gunfire

matthew harris: besides the already mentioned run flat tires(and possibly even those kevlar-protected tires i saw a while back) armor over wheels = more weight. more weight = slower acceleration, more drag, etc.

MightyFastPig says:

In the documentary Gunner Palace, the soldiers talk about how the armor upgrade patches for their Humvees just slow the bullets down so they tumble and stop inside the occupant's body, instead of going clean through.

I have to wonder if the more elaborate gun trucks are really built to look impressive and thus intimidate potential attackers and/or make the occupants feel more secure, rather than actually protect the occupants.

Mighty Fast Pig,

If I'm not mistaken, the armor on the up-armored Humvees is quarter-inch hardened steel. That'll stop anything short of .30 AP and .50BMG (or the 12.7mm Russian equivelent).

Shit ... I want whoevers job it is to turn these trucks into these beasts!! Can you imagine how bad-ass that would be? Day one of the process would be to rip out anything usefull to the common civilian and chunk it in the trash. Day two would be to break out the black spray paint and cover ever inch of the body... and i'm pretty sure day three would be dedicated strictly to building the biggest, baddest, most over the top, bumpers for the front and rear!

Damn I forgot to mention that these trucks look like something that B.A., Face, Hannibal, and Murdock would of built at the end of an episode of the A-Team to defeat some neighborhood criminals!

What are the guns on there? Looks like a C9 and C6, you'll have to excuse, I'm Canadian Forces. Haha. The...M249? I think is the equivelent to the C9. I think I'd take a Humvee over that, looks cool but...I don't know. Might be tough.
