former vacation apt

This was our 2 room German vacation apartment until August 2009 when we moved over from the states to live here full-time. It was furnished with mostly IKEA, flea market finds (mostly the small decorative things), mail order stuff and some pieces from local stores in Hannover where we live.

Now that we live here full-time we want to find a larger place to live and start building our life all over again. We sold all of our mid century and newer, modern furniture in the states only bring a few pieces with us so we are starting from the beginning.

But for now, at least until we find our long term space, this is where we call home today and I'm happy here in our 53 square meter home (around 500 square feet).

When we moved in the flat had nothing -- we installed the kitchen and bought everything you see new as this was, at that time, our second home so we had to furnish it from scratch on a budget.
