Valley Fog

An ocean of fog filling the San Joaquin Valley creeps eastward up the Tehachapi grade. A beautiful blue sky day is hidden below by the thick blanket of valley fog that doesn't lift for days or sometimes even weeks. This picture was taken heading westbound on Hwy 58 toward Bakersfield at about 3000ft elevation.
