as long as you need to shoot something on the inside diameter of a circle!

I don't know if you skewed the camera on purpose or not, but it actually looks like you're moving down a long table rather than in a circle. I wonder how different it would look if the camera (tripod mount) was perfectly centered in the center of the lazy susan. Invite me to Sun Wah when you try it out. : )

The camera was placed at the edge of the lazy susan, on a bit of an angle so it wasn't shooting straight out the side. That combined with the size of the table and lots of stuff being in the way, you're right, it looks like one big table.

We'll be sure to invite you next time. :)

It reminds me of one of those old Hollywood PR newsreels with a camera dollying down a long table full of stars. I think Selznick made one when he had his "Night of a Thousand Scarletts" dinner, when he invited all the potential Scarlett O'Haras to one meal.

Oh, and when are we going to Sliver Seafood, btw?!

Great video. Made me want to go out for dinner with a big group of people.

I really liked how there were no faces, too. Maybe that's why I could so easily imagine myself being there with you all.

I don't mean to be insensitive, but is that "black face" at -8 seconds?

Damn. I knew I shouldn't have commented! That lazy susan must be spinning fast enough to trick my eyes. My apologies to you and David - should either of you feel insulted.
