Cool...but why is a cubical egg desirable?

So you can stack them. All the pro competitive eaters use these for training. You ever try to keep 6 dozen eggs within easy reach for rapidfire face stuffing?

strange indeed. one would go to all the trouble if its to sit around and look pretty... but how fast does one cube it, and then eat it?

I f-ing LOVE this. Life is way too short to ask any questions at all about why this approaches interesting. Because you can, people. Because you can.... and why the hell not.

you must have used an egg that was too small, or not left it in long enough/sufficiently cooled it. i just got one of these and it's been very successful. and look at these shots: www.flickr.com/photos/karlgustav/389763900/ (not mine, but i found them on flickr)

a huge reason for these is bento: compartmentalized lunches. the bear head posted higher in the comments is another common egg mold used in bento... bunny head, car, fish, my melody, star, heart, etc. are other shapes you can make hard boiled eggs into!
