you must have used an egg that was too small,
or not left it in long enough/sufficiently
cooled it. i just got one of these and it's
been very successful. and look at these

a huge reason for these is bento:
compartmentalized lunches. the bear head
posted higher in the comments is another
common egg mold used in bento... bunny head,
car, fish, my melody, star, heart, etc. are
other shapes you can make hard boiled eggs
into!
