II. Steps (alternate title Dance of the New Home Owner Pretending to Be a Sea Gull)
In a place such as this, can there truely be a monster of road rage threatening to run us over after dinner? The brights flash on and off. Though it is a provocation, it mimics the rhythm of the peaceful steps you made earlier.
The beast that is truck passes, then trespasses restlessly across the beach; leaves having failed it's efforts to provoke.
We turn, to turn in to our musty rented trailer for the night.
It is the steps, like the sea birds emulated, which will last.
