More than 24,000 soldiers were treated here." Plaque, Endell Street WC2, Covent Garden, London. Louisa Garrett Anderson CBE MD was the daughter of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson, co-founder of the London School of Medicine for Women, and niece of Millicent Garrett Fawcett, pioneering feminist thinker.
