Telectroscope in Brooklyn

The recently unveiled Telectroscope allows you to see people in London IN REAL TIME. Just like a...er...webcam. Amazing. You just have to queue for about 30 minutes.

Seriously, this is pretty neat, and a fun afternoon out if it's a nice day.

It's meant to look like something from the turn of the 19th to 20th C. There's a whole movement of this sort of artifying technology to look old. Otherwise, what's the point?
