      This is me, explaining the concept behind a robot whose goal was to automatically sense and navigate it's environment, including stairs.

      The parts on the table are actually the remnants of a Tyco Fast Traxx RC car that we modeled the robot after. The chassis ended up being a custom-cut piece of sheet metal that vaguely resembled the Fast Traxx and we also had some custom tracks built.

      The brains were to be the Parallax BASIC Stamp. This was my portion of the project and my partner, Jasper, was to handle mechanical and electrical engineering.

      I jumped ahead to the EE as I was eager to test out the Stamp and ended up frying it two days before our deadline.
