    In New York, people will stuff garbage into pretty much any object on the street.

      Kind of. Sometimes there'll be a garbage bag sitting out and people will throw trash on top of it, as if the garbage man is going to carefully pick it all up, piece by piece. Another one of my favorites: people cramming garbage into the basket on the back of someone's bicycle.

      if it doesn't touch the ground (while you're standing there) then your not littering, right?
