I’ve talked about it. You waited for it. So here it is! My Minnesota State Fair masterpiece!
Thank View you Michael Tipton for the inspiration behind this photo. Michael contacted me and proposed a challenge to combine a day and night photo of the sun and moon. This is not exactly what he had in mind but it started me thinking how to do picture of the Farris Wheel with both day and night imaging. I will actually take him up on his challenge of a day/night picture combining the sun and moon.
Facts About This Image:
It took me longer than one hour of shooting
I moved the camera and took a new picture every five minutes or so
There are more than 14 images to produce this panorama
I have more than 16 hours of post processing to get this picture right
I added the moon, stars, and flood lights for effect
It was EXTREEMLY difficult to blend the sky from day to night - harder than I thought it would be.
The final file size is 3.62GB! I think that may be my largest file ever.
