office tables design and detailing iterations
Large arch-shaped group tables ("Multi"), small, wheeled individual tables ("Uni"), and wheeled Lecterns. Our clients knew they wanted the primary form to be the right angled horizontal and vertical planes, and for the geometry of the large table to enable 13 of them to be pushed together into a giant donut, and for the horizontal surfaces of the individual tables and podiums to be derived from this same constructed circle. A version of the small table has been in use by the company for the past 20 years. We were tasked to choose materials, update and detail all of the pieces, determine the best process for joining the planes, design and oversee the local production of the metal structures, and then build and deliver the wooden components. We're now completing the process of prototyping the walnut veenered plywood components, and will begin full production shortly.
