Krak de los Caballeros

vista resulta impactante... Este castillo fue sede central de la Orden
del Hospital de San Juan de Jerusalen y se dice de él que fue el único
de las cruzadas que nunca fue conquistado militarmente. Lo intentó
Nuraddin primero y Saladino después sin poder conseguirlo... Fue
Baybars, sultán de Egipto, el que se hizo con él, aunque la causa fue
la dificultad de mantener una guarnición tan grande como para defender
el castillo.
T.E.Lawrence dijo de él que era "el castillo más admirable del
mundo".
