Small Macaw in flight

This is some of what we saw and did on an eight day adventure to Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Our group goals were to record Pink River Dolphin communication with a hydrophone, photograph pink dolphins, and swim with them. We wanted to find, photograph, and enjoy special trees, reflected in the tannic acid waters of the Pacaya and Yarina Rivers and cochas, known as the mirror of the jungle. We wanted to participate in the greatest birdwatching anywhere in the world.

Marmelita and I wanted our guests to have one of the great experiences of their lives. We hoped they would enjoy and remember Dawn on the Amazon's unique Peruvian culinary artistry. I believe we succeeded in our goals and made good new friends as we shared this wonderful adventure together.

This expedition is well described in more detail in four articles in my Captain's Blog at; dawnontheamazon.com/blog/ and to read more about Pacaya Samiria National Reserve check this article

I hope you enjoy the photos, the blog, and the article. Thanks for your consideration.
