First Street Bridge, Austin
The underside of the First Street Bridge in Austin, Texas.
This shot was taken during yesterday morning's Austin World Wide Photo Walk when about 40 of us gathered at Palmer Events Center and wandered the area around there, the Long Center and Auditorium Shores before heading to Threadgill's Restaurant for a well-needed drink and some lunch. Once again, it was a really fun walk and I got to meet a bunch of new photographers, some of whom had come from as far afield as San Antonio and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Although the walk was a lot of fun, I found myself somewhat at a loss for inspiration and ended up with only three or four shots that I am particularly happy with. I'll post these over the next week and take a few days to decide which one I enter in the "official" competition.
Edit 8/8/10: Well, despite my feeling a lack of inspiration during the photo walk, this image won the competition for this particular walk. I guess I must have been inspired after all even though I didn't realise it at the time :-)
I would greatly appreciate your vote in the 2010 Photoblog Awards. Thanks!
