I think this shot is much better than mine as far as clarity and focus go. You wanted to know where I shot my storm photos.
I went to a favorite spot in Mansfield at 287 and the Russell-Curry Rd. overpass looking west/northwest toward the Fort Worth/Arlington line. I left the overpass as soon as the rain drops got big enough for me to be concerned about my camera. It took me two minutes to walk to my car. I sat in my car for a few minutes trying to get some more shots, but I had no way to stablize my tripod without getting the camera wet.
I drove only a quarter mile when the sky dropped and I couldn't see a thing. Oh, what I wouldn't do for a dSLR with a "bulb" mode and a remote shutter release for stuff like that. Someday soon I hope.
