Daltonia splachnoides

    It's incredible how nature makes use of every possible substrate as room for her children. Here is a small moss that grows on twigs (in this case a from of the Soft Treefern). Check out the thallose liverwort on the left too, behaving like living veins for an otherwise dead fern pinnae.
    The genus of this moss, I believe, is named after the eminent botanist Joseph Dalton Hooker.
