Part of my ongoing cancer series.
Nobody knows how I feel or maybe they do.
Cancer can feel isolating if your surrounded by people who have never
been through it, who could never imagine what your going through. Or
when they know someone with cancer so they feel like an expert on the
subject and they can't understand why your not doing as well as they
think the people they know are doing. When they don't seem to
understand how different cancers can be and more importantly how
different people will react to it. It can feel isolating to feel like
no one knows how you feel. But when you go to a cancer support group
and some groups you may find fit you better than others, you can find
a community of people that can relate and a friend who knows how you
feel. Of course this can apply to all kinds of problems, depression,
addiction there's lots of people out there who know how you feel. You
don't have to be alone if you find them.
