Happy 2012, everyone.

BTW, my 5D II is currently bricked, not sure when I'll be able to revive it, so for a while it'll be stuff from the archives and new film shots once I've got a scanner again. I fly back to the US on March 2 and new film work should be appearing here almost immediately thereafter.

Sometimes in class I like to have my younger students draw pictures related to their new vocabulary words. I like to see how they understand what these things are.

I've been shooting a lot of 35mm film recently. In general, I prefer the EOS 3 and still consider it maybe the best 35mm SLR ever made, but the Elan 7 has been seeing more use again these days. The AF sucks, but it's light and hilariously quiet.

I made the original photograph a week ago during a bout of insomnia that had me wandering about at an hour when I should have been deep in sleep. I worked on the capture last night, when I was (again) awake and doing things at a time when most other people in this part of the world were catching some Zs.
