I had to leave as he disappeared into the mist, to pick up Jamie and his belongings from Clapham, but the flight continued right up to the end of the main runway to the right. I gather that after the jet departure they were able to fly again with another pilot as well.

He steadily gained height as he flew past me into the mist, heading towards the main runway.

The wings curved upwards quite alarmingly (or perhaps it was just the perspective) but he was airborne very quickly.

At the end of the short runway the team gave a push as the pilot pedalled like crazy, which powered the big propellor on the boom behind the cockpit.
