Hello.

Just thought I'd let you know - I've departed Nikon. I was recommended Nikon by a good friend, and the D50 served me very well.

But recently I was offered a very good deal on a Canon 40D, so with much thought (kind of) and deliberation, I sold all of my Nikon equipment and converted to the Dark Side.

And I'm loving it.

The daviddave photostream has come to an end, and the 8dave photostream has commenced. Early.

I could wait no longer. I have purchased a (cheap) new speedlight, and could not resist posting a few images up to the new stream.

This is it. We're off. See you on the other side.

A lack of photos around here has been for two main reasons:

1) I am jumping the flickr ship. Not leaving flickr, but changing address. Starting afresh. I have downloaded every single photo from this stream, for backup purposes. My new stream will be at flickr.com/photos/8dave. I have tried to add all my existing friend contacts to that account, but for some reason not with 100% success. Please add me as a contact if I haven't added you!

2) I am uploading most of my photos to 8dave.com - my blog - and these photos also appear on my facebook account.

My new flickr stream will officially start on January 1st 2010 and will contain my best work. Flickr shall no longer be a dumping ground for me.

Thanks for being with me so far. It's been a fun ride :)
