Just for clarification, the reason you can't
bring anything with clear liquids (a snow
globe, perhaps) on a plane is because when
you mix Acetone (nail polish remover) and
Hydrogen Peroxide (used for cleaning cuts) in
a bottle, you get a clear liquid that also
double as a powerful explosive.
Most of the 'rules' that are put in place I'm
pretty sure are just to annoy and/or put the
fear into people so they believe that behind
every tree is a terrorist with a ton of C4
strapped to their chest creeping up on them.
Flights into the USA aren't subject to TSA
rules... they only apply if you board from an
american airport. Last 2 times I came home i
got stuff taken away when i transferred once
in the states again... someone in chicago has
my lighters and toothpaste... grr

When I can't bring a snowglobe on the plane with me, the terrorists have won.

it's a good thing they added the circle with slash, 'no snowglobes' picture to the sign. you know, for children.
TiBs10 (26 months ago | reply)
on the other hand, i never thought i would see a sign with a snowglobe crossed out for any reason lol

It wasn't the terrorists that did this but the politically-driven overreaction.

I guess it wasn't a snow globe on that Nigerians lap that just about brought down the NWA flight to Detroit, huh?

Man, I took this same photo. It's friggin' ridiculous. I mean, c'mon airport...seriously?
Edit: Were you flying through LGA? Because I swear we were in the exact same place per your other photos.

Who are the real terrorists?

had to chuck one to the trashcan on a trip recently. totally ridiculous. and this recent Northwest flight incident will even make things worse.
