Fightin' Tori

Tuesday evening I had a photo shoot with Tori in the studio. Since the shoots with Tori so far have mostly been fairly professional and restrained, she was determined to just be herself this time and show her personality. She brought her boxing gloves and wraps. We had a great time with it. And fortunately, I didn't get hit!

Oh, yeah, she is awesome fun to work with. She's quirky, funny, and has just the right mix of serious and silly. Her self-taken photos on MySpace show a lot more of her silly, funny side; until this latest shoot, I had really neglected to capture that in our photos. Having done four (I think) shoots together now, I think we've both just started to relax around each other enough to let the formal, serious approach relax into shoots that are more casual and fun -- but no less professional.

And I'll tell you, I was thrilled when I picked her up for this shoot and she told me she'd brought some boxing gloves and wraps. I absolutely LOVE doing shoots that have a theme or situation behind them.

I'm lucky to have a bunch of really fun models as friends. (And no, not just 'cause they're beautiful!) Shellie and Oralie are both such hams! Amy is just brilliant to talk to, and I think she's absolutely mesmerizing in photos. And both Amy and Amanda have extraordinarily versatile looks. Jessica and Kelsey both have a LOT of personality that really projects into a photo well. And I didn't even mention Kim or KC... I feel genuinely lucky at every shoot!
