I like it's current name 1937 Himsl Zeppelin
Roadliner... (one of a kind) Other historical documentation found this to
be previously registered as a 1942 - Plymouth
House Car =D
Great shots of this very rare vintage RV...
an instant Fave!
I remember seeing this in Street Rodder
magazine, I believe it was Art Himsl that was
rebuilding it, but people calling it a 1937
always bothered me because the headlight
rings are 1940 Ford Deluxe, the front fenders
are 1940 Ford rear fenders, and the rear
fenders are 1948 Ford truck rear fenders, so
it's all a lot newer then what they call
it...
Would you mind if I posted some notes on it
identifying the parts involved?
I don't mind at all. I have more pics of this
that I didn't post, I think I'll dig them up.
I really had know idea what this was just
thought it was cool looking. And it was the
end of a very long day and I was kinda fading
energy-wise! It was in really good shape and
looked quite comfortable inside too. I'll
post em up later tonight...
Even if there are "later" add-ons
fabricated into this vehicle, it doesn't
matter. The registries will ask you for a
vehicles proper serial #no. Sure some people do this to a vehicle, but it
doesn't change it's true year. Already it's a rarity and/or a one of a
kind..!!
Dave, I would appreciate seeing more photos
of this rare vintage RV. It's a piece of
Automotive History you've captured. Most people would never get the chance to see
something like this, not alone on Flickr!
Thanks for showing what images you have so
far... Cheers! =D
