Moonlit Castle Rock Lake PAD - 8/365
My son wanted me to capture the moonlight over the frozen lake. I had my 5D, I had my tripod... I had no adapter plate with me! This shot was made with the camera resting on top of the tripod but not attached. Exposure was 1 full second at f4. Thankfully I was shooting at 17mm so the movement is not readily apparent!

Frozen Castle Rock Lake PAD - 7/365
Twenty inches plus! That is how thick the ice is over this WI lake! I liked how the weather has made the grooves in the snow. The straight, deep impressions are vehicle tracks below the snow in the ice. Three inches of ice will support a vehicle.
