Tan-y-Coed TowerThis small castle-like folly was built as a smoking room for the owner of a large house nearby, as his wife didnt like him smoking in the house! The house itself disappeared in the 1970s and the gardens are now a public park but the folly remains.
Uploaded on Jul 17, 2009 Guests Only!Gatepost at the Pwllycrochan mansion in Colwyn Bay. After leaving family ownership in the early 1900s, it became a hotel, hence the notice 'Private Grounds - Reserved for Visitors Staying At The Hotel'. It is now used as the Lyndon Preparatory School.
